f11 Photography Magazine | March 2019
1st March 2019
There’s a distinct coastal theme to this month’s edition from Stepping Back on New Zealand’s western shore to Ruth Grindrod’s coastal forays under the f11 Spotlight to Wendy’s Wanderings from Sri Lanka to a Post-Production Video on a fisheye seascape to the banner and cover images on this very web page. And to cap the salty feel; What’s In A Picture? West Bay, on the Jurassic Coast.
But it’s not all watery this month. I’ve been out shooting race horses in the snow for How It’s Done. The other Post-Production video deconstructs the processing of a black and white capture of a derelict farmhouse on the Yorkshire Moors, and I’ve also been rediscovering the inspirational work of one of my heroes; Sir Don McCullin. f11 regular Angela Nicholson owns up to what three of her favourite photography related gadgets are, and this month’s Guest Interview features the imaginative work of the conceptual self-portrait artist Rosie Hardy. And of course, there are your images in the Member’s Gallery.
More inspiration, more practical information, more motivation hopefully to help you, our loyal f11 Members, to pursue your own photographic aspirations. As ever we want to hear about them.
