f11 Photography Magazine | January 2019
1st January 2019
Who says we have to use cover images of snowy scenes at this time of year? Not us, our f11 Members span the globe, which is why there’s a picture of a tropical island at the top of this page. In fact, this issue 84 and first of 2019, has a distinct tropical theme due to our recent visit to Réunion, an island in the Indian Ocean. You can read all about that adventure Behind the Lens, delve into the location in What’s In A Picture, watch the accompanying Video Blog and be talked through the post-production in my Video Tutorials.
Back on a wintrier theme Wendy’s Wanderings harks back to a moment between the storms in Iceland. I ruminate on how blurry people can benefit cityscapes, while Ross Hoddinott evaluates the new mirrorless Nikon Z7. The Spotlight this month shines on f11 Member Peter Geraerts, while our Guest Interview features the drone photographer Ross Farnham. And of course, there are your images in the Member’s Gallery.
Lots more to inspire and inform is coming your way in 2019, so…..
