David Noton recalls a shoot on the wild west coast of New Zealand.
Finally, after years of good intentions but no action, we’re getting around to refreshing the pictures on the walls at home. For years it always seemed other jobs took priority, but no longer; some big acrylics from recent trips have been ordered from the Print Foundry. But the rejuvenation is not only about hanging new images, we have rediscovered some classics from the past, such as this panorama of the gannet colony at Murawai. I’d almost forgotten this picture until I came across the block-mounted print from our 2008 Waiting for the Light Exhibition hidden in the loft, wrapped in bubble wrap. Now I’m re-appreciating it again.
