A Mirrorless Future
Mirrorless cameras have been growing in popularity over the past few years,
but the recent influx of full-frame models looks set to send sales flying.
In 2008, when Panasonic announced the Lumix G1, the first modern digital mirrorless system camera, it billed it as an entry-level model for people who were unsure whether to go for a compact or a DSLR. Ten years down the line, there are now mirrorless cameras suitable for every type of photographer, from first-time snappers to fully fledged professionals. However, the recent arrival of full-frame mirrorless cameras from Canon and Nikon is the signal that some photographers have been waiting for to ‘go mirrorless’.
