Print and Paper Profiles

David Noton gets to grip with another crucial aspect of colour management - printer and paper profiles.

Tomorrow I’m at a Canon Ambassador’s meeting in London. This time we’ve all been asked for a ten minute presentation summarising what we’ve been up to over the last year. I could of course pull together a Keynote presentation to show on the plasma screen in minutes, but I’m of a mind to show prints, just to be different I guess. But also I think we’re all sick of looking at screens; prints make so much more of an impact. Now while I’m used to talking to audiences this one does make me pause, because this lot are fellow pros at the absolute top of their game. I’d better ensure my print quality is as good as it can possibly be.
