The Decisive Moment
Overhead the cloud cover looked impenetrable, but way off to the east over the Torridon Mountains a tiny gap gave hope as the darkness before dawn faded. Yes, I was waiting for the light yet again, ready for the Decisive Moment, if it came. The small window over the mainland where the sun was due to rise could of course have closed in at any moment and I would have had yet another fruitless session, but that’s just the name of the game we all know so well; Mother Nature is often fickle, especially in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
