Johan Dalstrom
Trehörningen

Our second child arrived about nine months ago and it resulted in a photo hiatus. My inspiration has now returned and I set the alarm for 5 am on Sunday. I went out to a small nature reserve with a small forest lake outside Stockholm, Sweden where I live. I had never visited the area before and the weather forecast suggested clear skies, so it was a bit of a hit or miss. When I arrived and saw the nothing in the sky I put on the telephoto lens and tried to find details in the scene to shoot. The image was taken as the early morning light hit a small islet with pine trees, separating it nicely from the dense pine forest behind it.  Fujifilm X-T2 with XF 100-400mm lens shot at f/13, 1/3 sec, ISO 200.
