Adventures in Pictures
Capturing human subjects has always been the most important aspect of photography for me. Waiting for the right moment, the most beautiful light and the right frame have never been enough if there was no human element. However ‘ordinary’ people never really interested me either; I had no particular interest in photographing city and office folk who slept in their own beds, breathed everyday air and surrendered to the battle against gravity. If I had, my task would have been easier – and my parents would have probably slept better. Instead, from the moment I realized I wanted to tell stories, I've always been interested in the ones of people who embark on adventures and misadventures, those people who ‘live on the edge’.
